Obtaining your New Mexico Auto Dealers License can be a lengthy and confusing process. We at NMIADA are here to assist our members in navigating the requirements to help you avoid delays in licensing and guide you to the path of success.
The Pre-Licensing Education course is one of the state requirements you will need to fulfill to become a New Mexico Independent Auto Dealer. It is an eight (8) hour class which is hosted and taught by the NMIADA Executive Director.
The class will cover the basics of dealer responsibilities, best practices, operational strategies, required sales paperwork, statues, regulations as well as federal and state compliance. You will also be introduced to supporting businesses that offer services to help your dealership succeed.
Pre-Licensing is held on the second Tuesday of every month. You may register by going to our Events & News Tab then selecting our Events Calendar or utilize the following link to go straight to our calendar https://business.nmiada.com/events/calendar where you will be able to register. We recommend registering with ample time due to limited seating and/or Zoom restrictions.
Please note that your certificate will be sent to you after class via email in a pdf. file. Usually within 2-3 days.
This class is mandatory (legislation 66-4-2). Please note that Continuing Education will be required yearly to renew your dealers license (66-4-2a)
