Ready to Become a New Mexico Independent Auto Dealer?

One of the first steps is completing the Pre-Licensing Education Course, which is required by New Mexico law (Section 66-4-2 NMSA 1978). Please also note that annual Continuing Education is mandatory to renew your dealer license (Section 66-4-2A).

This 8-hour class, taught by the Executive Director of NMIADA, will give you a solid foundation for running a successful dealership. We’ll cover everything from dealer responsibilities, day-to-day operations, and sales documentation, to key state and federal regulations. You’ll also learn about helpful tools and services from industry partners that can support your dealership’s growth.

Pre-Licensing is offered on the second Tuesday of every month.
